Scheduling with TRAMPAS:
Field Service
To efficiently employ field staff, driving times to client locations must be as short as possible. The TRAMPAS Field Service is an add-on module that offers optimal tour and service planning for your field staff.
User Advantages:
- Independent route planning by the field staff (e.g.: detailed planning, determination of time windows at client locations)
- Allotment of default round trips to the field service
- Adherence to pre-set visit cycles
- Display of field service districts
- Optimization of district division
Both planning effort and driving distances are optimized – for increased on-location, active sales time with your clients.
TRAMPAS, with its highly developed disposal module, is the ideal tour planning and scheduling system for commercial waste management and specialist disposal companies.
User Advantages:
- Significantly fewer kilometres traveled with the same order quantity
- Prevention of empty runs
- Efficient use of fleets
TRAMPAS’ Disposal is based on the requirements and order types of the practice. It collects orders specific to disposal logistics, such as installation, removal, exchange, emptying, conversion and trough stacking. Comprehensive container management is enabled as well:
- Management of all container types (troughs, unwinders) with their specifications (size, covers, etc.)
- Representation of stacking options for all container types, in all combinations
- Assignment of containers to the appropriate vehicles
- Differentiation between full and empty containers on single stages
With TRAMPAS, the complete tour planning process remains dynamic. If changes arise in a tour that has already begun—for example, a change of disposal site after arriving at a client location—these may be integrated into the ongoing planning in real-time.
The LP/2 freight calculation module, integrated in TRAMPAS, can be used for processing tours via forwarders – for fast, far-reaching and dependable freight cost calculation.
User Advantages:
- Determination of the lowest freight costs through forwarder proposals
- Comparison of actual freight costs and favourable freight cost alternatives
- Automatic voucher creation through transfer of TRAMPAS tours to the LP/2 Voucher server
- Automated voucher and invoice creation
Combining TRAMPAS tour planning with LP/2 enables transparent and cost-efficient transport management. As both solutions stem from the same source, continuous, coordinated data flow is guaranteed – an important aspect for our customers.
With integration of the high-capacity simulation/control tools SCALA and SP/2, planning and organization of procurement and distribution logistic processes become even more efficient and future-oriented.

- Connection to storage via interfaces for scanner-supported loading
- Order scheduling over alternative distribution centres (cross-docking)
Just in Time Production (JiT) is an approved optimization concept for procurement and goods logistics in the furniture industry. Capital-binding inventory and cost-intensive storage space are reduced through utilization of this concept. TRAMPAS Furniture supports this foundational restructuring of the production process by controlling this production directly from the freight vehicles.
User Advantages:
- Bottlenecks in production capacity are observed as early as in the planning algorithm
- Supports continuous production capacity
- Complete or partial representation of production or production lines
- Data generation for production control, taking shipping aspects into account

The TRAMPAS service module is specially developed for effective assignment planning for mechanics and service technicians. Maintenance and repair orders are collected in the pre-system and transferred to the TRAMPAS tour planning system via an interface. This specialized industry module supports automatic tour planning for mechanics; considering numerous, order-specific parameters including urgency, specialized skills required, number of mechanics needed, etc. The tours, calculated in TRAMPAS, are then transferred over another system interface to the mechanic’s mobile device.
User Advantages:
- Accomplishment of highly complex planning tasks
- Reduced weekly planning effort
- Automatic organization of "meeting" tours for orders that, for example, require two mechanics with differing qualifications.
- Automatic update of all dependent tours if a tour is changed
Differentiation at the beginning of a week tour, according to the mechanic’s home or business location (e.g.: when conveying materials)
Telematics & Scanning
Telematics is an integral component in the logistics of many industries. Staedtler-Logistics offers customizable and flexible connection to many telematics systems – for total control, continuous supervision and comprehensive documentation of the work flow.
Vehicle Locating by Means of GPS and Deviation Detection
On-board computer connections enable the scheduler to have the exact location of the vehicles in view at all times. Deviations of a vehicle from the planned tour are automatically recognized and reported by the system. Interactive scheduling of new transport orders (flash orders) to the best-positioned vehicle is also possible.
Electronic Order Processing
Telematics solutions contribute significantly to efficient order processing. Not only is the communication between drivers and schedulers improved, but every event is documented and can be seen by the scheduler. Customers can be notified in advance of impending delivery delays. Paper documents and time-consuming telephone calls are rendered unnecessary. Electronic confirmations to the shipper and/or consignee increase the transparency of the logistic forwarding and the level of service.
Navigation, Low Emission Vehicle Fleets, CO2 Reports
Real-time navigation with a reporting function enables the number of kilometres travelled to be monitored and optimized. Fleet operators not only reduce their fuel usage, and thus reduce their costs, but also improve their reputation regarding environmental concerns.
Loading and Unloading Scanning
Packages are checked for completeness and/or damage through connection to a scanner. If a package is missing or is damaged during transport, a notification is sent to the central system via telematics. This information is forwarded to the manufacturer through TRAMPAS. Fast reproduction can be arranged.
Further user advantages of fleet telematics:
- Leg display and navigation
- Supervision of vehicle assignment times
- Supervision of driving and rest times
- Import of actual data from the telematics system
- Vehicle performance evaluation options
- Context-sensitive sensor data processing (for example, load-dependent temperature monitoring)
- Automatic invoice generation (signed, receipted deliveries)
- Communication between driver and scheduler by means of TRAMPAS text messages (GPRS)
- Optimized communication with customers
- Telematics data are evaluable with the SP/2 statistics tool (several graphic visualization options)

- Example Process Sequence for Integrated Tour Planning
