Transport Management und Tour Optimization
Nuremberg, 26. April 2011 – Staedtler-Logistics will exhibit from May 10-13 at transport logistic 2011. The logistic optimization specialists will be showcasing at booth 510 in hall B2 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. Staedtler-Logistics will present the most recent developments in all three company sectors: logistic software, services and consulting. Advanced tendering management is the focal point of the software sector. The new tendering functions are joined to SCALA (simulation software) and transport management system LP/2. The leading routing and scheduling system TRAMPAS has been augmented as well. The Services sector will introduce the new “Freight Check Plus” package, while the logistic consultants will inform visitors of current focal points, including tender management.
Even in its fiftieth year of existence, Staedtler-Logistics does justice to its reputation as pioneer and innovative driver for IT-supported logistics. The logistic specialist developers from Nuremberg will present visitors with numerous new functions and modules for their infamous software packages.
LP/2, the leading software for freight management and calculation in procurement and distribution logistics, has been expanded to include an auction and communication tool. Tenders can be published and service providers can be invited to reverse auctions, to submit bids on transport contracts or to call up transport documents directly.
LP/2’s sister product, SCALA, has likewise been expanded to include an auction component for strategic yearly volume tendering. Quotes will be automatically accepted and validated from the website. The purchaser can then evaluate these quotes based on historical data and compare them using the usual, convenient options.
Practice-proven Software for Purchasers and Forwarders
TRAMPAS, the effective routing and scheduling system from Staedtler-Logistics, optimizes not only tours from transport or service orders with minimal application of resources, but also considers specific problems in individual logistics areas, thanks to specialized industry modules field service, waste disposal, freight, service and telematics, vehicle fleet, trade, furniture and more. TRAMPAS Cockpit offers the user an effective, convenient module to represent the handling of all scheduling and invoicing processes. Another new feature is the interface module TRAMPAS Web. It is now possible for employees, customers and forwarders to create orders over the internet as well as to obtain information regarding planned arrival times or even complete tours.
Staedtler-Logistics will introduce further developments in the areas of simulation and control solutions as well. Planners and decision-makers that use SP/2 receive better, faster overviews of quantity structures and processes with modern graphic designs and maps.
Logistic Services and Consulting
Freight planning, calculation and checking services make up another service sector at Staedtler-Logistics. The comprehensive freight check service is augmented by current benchmarks via the “Freight Check Plus” package. This allows the client significantly heightened transport cost transparency
The Staedtler-Logistics consultants will be at the booth and are available for conversation. They will inform visitors about tender management and the little known, complicated topic “Logistics in Eastern Europe”.
“‘The better way’ is our motto, and companies are still full of huge optimization potential in the areas of transport and logistics – and not only because of increasing energy costs,” states Michael Reichle, managing director of Staedtler-Logistics. “We are excited about transport logistic 2011 and look forward to many interesting conversations with those people who transport, and those who have something to transport.”
